Reverend J. Sierra Reyes

Reverend J. Sierra Reyes

Rector

We welcome The Reverend J. Sierra Reyes as the new Rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. She previously served Christ Church in Savannah, Georgia as its Associate Rector from 2011-2017. Her authentic joy-filled leadership contributed to the congregation’s growth and its transition from conflict to a flourishing healthy congregation.

Since her ordination to the priesthood, Reverend Reyes has enthusiastically served as an Examining Chaplain for the Diocese of Georgia, member of the Commission on Ministry, and a deputy to General Convention. Her love of Jesus and worship within the Episcopal Church has marked her life, including in her teens where she served on the Joint Nominating Committee for the election of our 26th Presiding Bishop.

Reverend Reyes is an alumna of Agnes Scott College, the University of Cape Town, and Harvard Divinity School. She is married to Rudy Reyes, a doctoral student at the University of Denver. They have a one-year-old daughter, Julia Mae.
